We finally have confirmation on our evening play performance date:
- Tuesday, May 29 in the cafeteria
On Wednesday, we will perform in the morning for some Keppel classes. Parents who are working/going to school in the evening are welcome to attend the daytime performance, but all others, please attend the evening performance, which is just for you!
Costumes & Props - Students are creating their own costumes from what they have at home --- please don't feel like you need to go out and purchase anything! Costumes will suggest something about the character, for example, the Neptune Family is going to dress all in blue (mixed shades/any shades of blue) because the planet Neptune appears blue. The Earth might wear blue (oceans) brown and/or green (land) and glue some cotton balls to a baseball cap for the clouds/atmosphere --- you get the idea.
Please talk to your child this weekend about their plans as we came up with ideas for props and costumes in class today (see below) --- please let me know if you have any questions.
Students may bring in props for any character, not just their own. Please bring props to school NOW --- we need to practice with our props. Do not feel limited to the suggestions below --- this is just what we came up with in class. Students are in charge of costumes and props, and whatever they come up with will likely be just fine.
