As part of Red Ribbon Week, we had the option of decorating our classroom door. Seventeen students volunteered on Tuesday morning for the Red Ribbon Week Door Committee. They spent their lunch recess on Tuesday and both morning and lunch recesses on Wednesday coming up with a theme, sketching out ideas, and creating the finished product. Our theme: Our Plan for a Healthy Life. We have three sections:
- Do More of This:
- Do Less of This:
- NEVER Do This:
UNICEF - Check tonight's Thursday folder for information about our Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF project, along with a UNICEF box. As you will read, our goal is to raise $270 dollars with each student choosing their own personal goal. This is an optional activity, but all students are excited to help children around the world who don't have all the things that we have. Some want to take their box with them when they trick-or-treat next Wednesday, and some want to do extra jobs at home to earn money to donate. I hope that you will support your child as they generously express UNICEF's motto, Kids Helping Kids, and what it means to be a global citizen.
