PTA Back-to-School Picnic tomorrow!
You won't want to miss the all-school picnic tomorrow night, sponsored by our PTA. There will be food trucks available, or you may bring your own picnic dinner. Beginning at 6:00pm and wrapping up at 8:00pm, this will be a great opportunity to meet up with friends old and new. Come early, come late, stay as long as you want . . . but don't forget to come! (If you haven't returned your PTA membership envelope, you can bring it to the picnic.)

Wednesday, November 8th Performance
Mark your calendars for our Theater performance day: Friday, November 8th. The first performance of the day will be for families only --- you'll have up-front seats! I believe we will begin about 8:30am --- I'll let you know as soon as the time confirmed.
This is the culminating performance for second grade music classes and third grade theater classes. Mrs. Gilbert and Mrs. Acitelli have really outdone themselves! Each class pair (one second grade class and one third grade class) will be focusing on a different culture that settled in North America. Our class will be performing Calabash of the Winds, a legend from Hawai'i that explains the different winds that blow, and our second grade buddies will be singing a Hawaiian song. Right now everyone's job is to learn and memorize their lines, though the storytellers (Hai mo'olelo) will have their lines in front of them when we perform.
Please plan to stay for the entire performance --- there's nothing more distracting to performers than audience members coming and going while they're on stage.
