Tomorrow, and every Friday, is College Spirit Day at Keppel. Students are invited to wear a college/university t-shirt, if they want.
You might notice that your child has some school supplies in their backpack ... items you thought they would leave in their desk at school. Because of space limitations, some large crayon and colored pencil collections won't fit. Other items, such as staplers and tape, I have available in class and prefer that students not keep in their desk. There are a few things, like White-Out, that need to remain at home. Thanks for your understanding.
Math - We learned to play Top-It, a fun way to brush up on our basic addition facts. It's a game with variations for other operations, including subtraction and multiplication.
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing - Yesterday I started reading this Judy Blume classic to the class. Be sure to ask your child to tell you about the Hatcher family, including Peter and Fudge.
You Can Learn Anything - That's the message of this video from Khan Academy. We watched the video in class today.
