International Dot Day - Inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' book, The Dot, International Dot Day is celebrated on (or near) September 15th. Intended as a global celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration, this book and day support a Growth Mindset (as opposed to a fixed mindset) and we enjoyed reading the book, singing a song inspired by the book, and ending the day with a drawing activity (ask your child to share theirs with you). Here's a book link and here's a song link.
Picture order forms went home in last week's Thursday folder (which didn't come home until Friday) but if you need another, you can pick one up in the office before school. We hope to be called early in the day, but if not, we will have a walking & talking recess and wait to eat our snacks until after we are photographed.
