Unfortunately, I find it hard to keep up and, sure enough, when I would become a bit more real and less rigid, things fell apart, sad to say.
Good news: We did make it to the end of the day and completed most of what I had planned.
Bad news: At the end of the day, when we needed to pause our art lesson and collect materials to continue next week, it became a free-for-all. Truly, I've always run a looser class than some, but it's worked well most of the time. Not this year (yet).
So, if your child chooses to share what is and isn't going on in our class, you might ask some open-ended questions:
- What's working well in 1321?
- What's not working well in 1321?
- How do you feel about things in 1321?
- How do you think your tablemates/classmates feel about things in 1321?
- How do you think Mrs. Bamberger feels about things in 1321?
International Dot Day - Thanks to the fact that every 1321 family returned the Google Form, we were able to join the live event with authors (and twin brothers) Peter & Paul Reynolds. Check the Thursday folder for your child's sketch activity completed at the end of the webinar.
