T-Shirts for MKS Splash & Dash event on Thursday, October 26 - I just sent, via ParentSquare, a Google Form to all families enabling you to tell me what size t-shirt you want me to order for your child (they are FREE!). It will take no longer than a minute to complete and submit - just student's name and click on t-shirt size. I need this by midnight on Tuesday (tomorrow) or I will have to guess your child's size. If you are seeing this post before the ParentSquare message, you can click here to complete the form. Thanks in advance!
Math - After consulting my 3rd grade colleagues, I've decided to pause our work in Topic 1 (division) and start Topic 2 (more multiplication). Today we worked with the factors 2 and 5. (Ask your child to explain what the terms factor and product mean) We will go back and pick up the rest of Topic 1 at a later date.
Constitution Day - Yesterday was the 236th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution, which is "the law of the land" pretty much. It lays out how our nation is governed. It's a big deal! As we learn about this important document, we are working on our own constitution of sorts - the rules by which we will govern ourselves this year in Room 1321. It's a process and will take some time to complete. We might not get it right the first time, but then, neither did the Founding Fathers (Ever here of the Articles of Confederation? That was their first attempt, but it didn't work too well.) Please ask your child to share our progress with you.
