Our day just flew by, and somehow I didn't take a single photo --- that's why you still see last year's students on our website. Hopefully, I'll get a few pics of your cute kids tomorrow.
As you may have heard, we began our study of solar eclipses today in anticipation of the eclipse on Monday, August 21. Part of your child's homework tonight is to tell you what we're learning and share video links from class today. Click here for the first link; click here for the second link. You and your child will find additional links elsewhere on our class website (Links for Parents and Kids under the More... tab).
Please plan to join us on Monday morning, if you wish. Watch for more information about our viewing party tomorrow and Friday. FYI --- I have purchased a class set of glasses with which to safely view the partial solar eclipse. They are manufactured by American Paper Optics, one of the five companies endorsed by NASA.
